Health Promotion Frameworks
From the early 1970s until the late 1990s, most of Ronald Labonté’s work was under the umbrella of health promotion. During this time he worked for three levels of government in Canada, and consulted internationally with extensive time spent in Australia, Aoteroa/New Zealand and the UK. He developed many ‘practice’ frameworks, drawing on his own public health experience, as well the international literature. He continues to write, although not frequently, on topics related to health promotion practice and theory. Articles in this section are thus somewhat older, but are still frequently used in undergraduate and graduate health promotion courses.
